A sun screen with SPF (Sun Protection Factor) 15. I.e. this sunscreen can protect your skin from burning for 15 hours.
A lip balm with higher SPF or lip balm made of zinc oxide which is known to provide 100% block out from radiations.
A polarized sunglass with UV protective feature. This will protect your eyes against the higher level of UV radiation from sun in high altitudes.

The best season to visit Tibet to trek is from April to November. But that depends upon your yearly time table and interest. Those who are free in the winter season are suggested to visit and trek in early winters. The tourist rush will be at the lowest and you can enjoy the beauty of this place freely.
