You will start the tour with a Kathmandu - Lhasa flight and conclude it with an exotic overland drive to Kathmandu. During the flight to Lhasa, you will enjoy the stunning aerial views of high peaks including Mt. Everest. In Lhasa, you will explore the two days full sightseeing tour. Visit the old aged monasteries and palaces there.

Leaving Lhasa in a 4WD jeep our overland Tibet tour passes through the beautiful turquoise lake Yamdrok Tso on the way to Gyantse . Drive to Shigatse where we see the famous Tashilhunpo monastery , the seat of the Panchen Lama . Then pass through some high passes above 5000 m , visit the nomad camps and enjoy the unique beauty of the vast Tibetan Plateau .We enjoy superb view of Everest , Cho oyu, Makalu and Shishapangma from the place named Tingri , then cross the Nepal Tibet border and drive to Kathmandu.

Outline Itinerary:

Day 01: Kathmandu (1,300 m) – Lhasa (3,650 m):
Departure Transport to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and Trans – Himalayan flight to Tibet ( Gonggar Airport) ( 1 hr. ) Drive to Lhasa (1 hr.) – Full rest for acclimatization – O/N at Hotel.

Day 02 - 03: Full Two Days Sightseeing Tour In Lhasa
Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery – O/N at Hotel.

Day 04: Lhasa – Gyantse ( 3950 m ) 250 Km to Shigatse ( 3900 m ) 90 Km ( 05-06 hours)
Drive to Gyantse via Yamadroke Lake and high passes: Kora LA ( 5,010 m) & Kamba La (4,794 m) – Sight-seeing in Gyantse including Pholkor & Kumbum Monastery. PM: scenic drive to Xigatse (1.5 hrs) through the typical Tibetan Countryside – Hotel.

Day 05: Xigatse – Kerung ( 3700 m ) 386 km (08-09 hours)
AM: Visit Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery. Then Drive to Xegar via crossing over Gyatchula (a pass of 5,200m) – further to Nyalam via over-crossing the high pass of lulang La (5,050m) from where one can enjoy the magnificent view of the Mt. Xishapagma (8,212m) & Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m) and have overnight at Kerung Guest House

Day 06: Kerung – Kathmandu: 165 km ( 07-08 hours )
after necessary border formalities continue scenic drive to Kathmandu through the green lush countryside- transfer to your Hotel. End of tour.
