Tibet overland tour starts from Kathmandu itself from where you take 7-8 hours drive following the friendship highway exploring some of the most amazing landscape in the earth. The very next day, our representative will take you to the Tibet border and introduce you with our Tibetan guide. After all the immigration formalities are done in Kerung and from here you will start the actual tour to Tibet which covers an approximate distance of around 1100 km. In this Tibet Overland tour you will enjoy sightseeing around Potala palace, Norbulinkha palaces, the great Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, and walk along the crowded Tibetan market - the bustling Barkor Bazaar in Lhasa. After having visited these entire place our representative will drop you to Gojar airport which is near Lhasa from where you will either take a flight back to Kathmandu or to onward destination.

Day 01: Kathmandu - Kerung Border - Kerung Town (2800mts) 168KM [07-08 hours]

Our representative will pick you up from hotel in Kathmandu in the morning then we will drive through small mountain roads to the border at Nepalese side, on the way you can enjoy the waterfall, rivers & forest. After arriving in Kerung, We will meet our Tibetan guide and driver at Nepal-Tibet border and make the necessary immigration paper work and then continue our drive to Kerung town at the distance of 20 Km. Overnight at Kerung town .

Day 02: Kerung - Pekutso - New Tingri , Known as Shegar (4350mts) 270KM [06-07 hours]

After breakfast we will start our journey to new Tingri. Passing by the most sacred cave of Milarepa Yogi which was made back on the 11th century and also the birth place of Milarepa, We Continue our drive along Pekutso Lake to old Tingri through Gongthang La pass at the elevation of over 5000m , Shisa Pangma snow mountain on the right and Pekutso on the left the scenery looks extremely beautiful on the way . If the weather is nice, we can see Mt. Everest on the way to old Tingri. After one hour of drive on friendship highway we will reach new Tingri. Overnight at Segar.

Day 03: Shegar to Shigatse (3900mts) 300KM [07-08 hours]

After breakfast around 10:30 Am we start our tour driving through the highest mountain pass Gyatso La (5200m) and through Tsola (4500m) and along beautiful villages. We will have our lunch at Shigatse and head for the sightseeing of Tashi Lhunpo Monastery. Overnight at Shigatse.

Day 04: Shigatse to Gyantse (3950mts) 90km [03-04 hours]

We will start our tour at around 9:00am from hotel then drive to Gyantse. Have lunch in Gyantse and then visit Palchoe monastery and Khubum Pagoda stupa. In the afternoon, explore the old town of Gyantse. Overnight at Gyantse.

Day 05: Gyantse – Yamdrok Lake – Lhasa (3600Mts) 370KM [07-08hours]

We will start our tour around 9:00am from the hotel then drive towards Lhasa via 3 big mountain passes, Simi La, karo La, Kampa La respectively. Among them with the altitude of 5000Mts Karo La is the highest pass with its most beautiful glaciers;, we can see beautiful Yamdroke Lake from the top of Kampa La pass. After having Lunch at Nakartse, which is just between the Yamdrok Lake and Karo La glaciers we will continue our drive to Lhasa. Overnight at Lhasa.

Day 06 -07 : Full Day Sightseeing in Lhasa

After breakfast two full days sightseeing tour to Lhasa starts which includes Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazar, Potala Palace, and Sera Monasteries. Overnight at Lhasa.
